Rosy Thompson Academy of Dance

Put RTAD on your phone

For teachers and assistants. It takes about 2 minutes, and means office messages reach you straight away.

Before you start

  • Have your RTAD sign-in ready: the email the office used for you, and your password (from your invite email, or the temporary password the office gave you).
  • The address is app.rosythompsonacademyofdance.com

iPhone

  1. 1Open Safari (the blue compass). It must be Safari, in a normal tab – not Chrome, and not a Private tab.
  2. 2Go to app.rosythompsonacademyofdance.com
  3. 3Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up), scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. 4Make sure Open as Web App is switched on (green), then tap Add.
  5. 5Open RTAD from the new icon on your Home Screen (not from Safari) and sign in. There's no web address bar at the top – that means it's installed correctly.

Your iPhone needs iOS 16.4 or newer for notifications (Settings → General → About → iOS Version). Pressing and holding the icon may say “Bookmark” – that's normal.

Android

  1. 1Open Chrome and go to app.rosythompsonacademyofdance.com
  2. 2Tap the ⋮ menu (top right), then Install app or Add to Home screen, then Install.
  3. 3Open RTAD from the new icon and sign in.

Turn on notifications (iPhone and Android)

  1. 1In RTAD, open the menu and tap Notifications (near the bottom, above your name).
  2. 2Tap Turn on notifications, then Allow when your phone asks.
  3. 3Tap Send a test – a notification should arrive within a few seconds.

When the office sends you a message, you'll get a notification. Tap it to read the message, then press Read.

Something not working?

  • No Notifications option or “can't receive notifications” (iPhone): RTAD must be opened from the Home Screen icon, not Safari. Delete the icon and repeat the iPhone steps, checking Open as Web App is on.
  • “Notifications are blocked”: allow them in your phone's Settings → Notifications → RTAD (iPhone), or Settings → Apps → Chrome/RTAD → Notifications (Android).
  • Forgotten your password? Tap “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page and we'll email you a link.
  • Still stuck? Please ask the office.
